Overview:

My client is recruiting for an experienced Temporary Works Coordinator to be based on a major project in West Yorkshire. This is a minimum 12 month contract with the potential for further work.

The Temporary Works Coordinator will take responsibility for communicating and enforcing the implementation of temporary Works on site in order to achieve required project delivery to our client's objectives, while maintaining standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact and cost control.

Role

* To act as the Principal Contractor's TWC as required on construction project/projects both new build and refurbishment
* To provide advice and guidance to the region or business unit on engineering solutions as required.
* Work with pre-commencement team including commercial and technical on temporary works identification
* Work with operational teams to produce temporary works schedules
* Working with third party contractors
* Ensuring the preparation of design drawings and specifications for temporary works.
* Checking and signing off temporary works on site and completing relevant permits as required
* Ensure all temporary works designs conform with all current British standards as well as Health & Safety & Environmental legislation
* Liaise with all interested parties including CDM Co-ordinator and ensure compliance with CDM requirements
* Providing engineering advice as required

Requirements

* A relevant HND/HNC, Civil or Structural engineering degree.
* Temporary Works Coordinator qualification
* Experience of checking temporary works e.g. propping, falsework, scaffolding, crane bases etc.
* Knowledge of the relevant design codes and standards applicable to temporary works.
* Experience of using IT solutions for preparing and checking designs.
